Latest uSky Transport's distinguished guest is Honourable Ousman J. Bojang, Governor of West Coast Region of the Republic of The Gambia.
The Republic of The Gambia is a small country in West Africa that borders Senegal and has some sea coast, too. The Gambia River valley, which flows down the centre of the country and into the Atlantic Ocean, is famous for diversity of its ecosystems. This country has its own unique character and culture, and it continues to evolve and change according to its own necessities and challenges.
Transport plays a crucial role in economic and social development of any country. The Republic of The Gambia, despite its relatively small size, continues to have transport problems hindering its progress. The Gambia's transport system is relatively small and simple, but it plays an important role in moving people and goods within its regions. The country faces challenges such as limited infrastructure and inadequate means of transportation.
A major problem in The Gambia is shortage of road infrastructure. Despite efforts to improve the road network, many areas are still lacking adequate roads and available ones are often in poor condition. Remote rural areas are particularly affected. Inadequate road infrastructure disrupts trade, impedes access to services such as education and health care, and degrades economic opportunities for citizens.
Solving transport problems in The Gambia requires a comprehensive approach and must include both infrastructural and managerial measures. These measures require a joint effort between government, private sector and local communities.
Honourable Ousman J. Bojang has real interest in new technological opportunities for his country and finding reliable business partners, one of which could be uSky Transport.
