Sharjah Airport delegation explores uSky Transport innovations as part of infrastructure expansion

In an effort to modernize and expand its infrastructure, a delegation from Sharjah International Airport initiated a visit to the uSky Test & Certification Centre. Organized with the support of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), the visit aimed to explore cutting-edge transport solutions for integration into the expanding airport complex.


Sharjah International Airport, established in 1977, is a key aviation hub in the region and the home base for the low-cost carrier Air Arabia. As part of the ongoing expansion project, the airport aims to increase its passenger capacity to 25 million travelers annually, while enhancing service quality and infrastructure.

During the visit, airport representatives explored the innovative uSky Transport & Infrastructure Solutions. uSky Transport offers sustainable, safe, and efficient passenger and cargo transportation solutions, aligning with the airport’s goals for sustainability and operational efficiency.


Discussions between the delegation and the uSky Transport team focused on the potential integration of uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology into the airport's infrastructure. Special attention was given to optimizing internal logistics processes and enhancing the passenger experience, which are crucial in the context of the planned expansion and modernization.
