uSky Test & Certification Centre was visited by representatives of the Jordanian company Sager Autonomous Robotics LLC (Sager Drone), Co-Founder and CEO Yousef H. Amoura, Technical Sales Engineer Mohannad Ashhab and Head of Project Management Office Mohammad Sarhan.
Sager Autonomous Robotics LLC is a modern high-tech enterprise, specializing in UAV-based intelligent systems and application solutions. The company operates as a platform-as-a-service that enables businesses, governmental entities, and educational institutions to avoid the operating risk, regulatory challenges, and capital expenses associated with drone operations.
The Jordanian guests got familiar with the features of the innovative uSky Transport & Infrastructure Technology, a new type of transport that could help to decarbonize roads being emissions-free and thus a truly green form of travel, having also been emerging as a viable – and much safer and energy-efficient – means of transport. They were met with an unusual sight of cutting-edge high-speed uFlash presenting radical visions for the future of intelligent transport.
The visitors took a test ride in a certified and safe tropical uCar to the service station incorporating a control room with an in-house developed world-class coherent infrastructure of software and hardware that serves for robust operations of full-electric vehicles uPods.
uSky transport and infrastructure solutions demonstrated to the guests are based on the patented uSky rail technology and uSky overpass. The complex requires a minimum land uptake for construction and can be easily adapted to perform any logistics tasks in the field of urban (speed up to 150 km/h) and intercity (speed up to 500 km/h) passenger and passenger-and-freight transportation, as well as freight traffic at speeds up to 150 km/h.
uSky control system is automated and equipped with subsystems for machine vision, positioning, routing tasks, recognizing threats, and signaling within the traffic network of vehicles exchanging data with each other.
Exceptional features of uSky transport and infrastructure solutions are:
enhanced safety of high-speed transportation due to rolling stocks traveling high above the ground resultingly excluding the risk of colliding with other objects moving on the ground;
minimal land uptaken by string rail overpasses, which can be easily adapted to perform any logistic tasks at speeds up to 500–600 km/h;
more favorable construction and operating costs compared to other types of overpass transport (monorail, magnetic levitation train, surface subway, high-speed tram, cable car) and underground metro.
Operating costs in any individual case of uSky transport and infrastructure can range from 20 to 100 thousand USD per year for a single kilometre of the complex. The exact cost of operation of each specific uSky complex can only be determined as a result of pre-feasibility studies.
Apart from passenger electric vehicles, uCont for containerized freight aroused special interest among the guests.
uCont can transport cargo up to 100 million tons per year and have several advantages over the conventional cargo transportation industry:
applicability in regions with difficult terrain that are hard to pass, water barriers, and massive buildings;
feasibility of track laying along the shortest path;
high environmental friendliness;
energy efficiency;
low costs for track structure;
full automation of loading and unloading operations, etc.
At uSky Transport office, visitors were explained the technological features of uSky rail, which is the most important part and core of uSky Technology, and were demonstrated a mock-up of a rigid truss track structure with a mounted cargo uCont and suspended passenger uBus.
The representatives from Jordan were impressed by what they saw and expressed their hope to establish fruitful cooperation with uSky Transport in the foreseeable future. In turn, uSky Transport adhering to high standards and with all requisite resources available is ready to implement commercial projects worldwide offering reliable and productive business relations to partners and customers.
