Acceptance tests of the Test Track 4 track structure are completed at uSky Test & Certification Centre.
These tests are carried out to assess compliance with the requirements established in technical requirements, to test stress-strain state, to identify operating particulars and compliance with design parameters, to collect statistics on operation of mechanisms, components and systems of track structure.
All checks are performed in accordance with acceptance testing programme and process. The main stages of testing are:
Track structure visual inspection;
Instrumental and measuring work before load testing the track structure;
Load testing the track structure (determination of actual deformations);
Instrumental and measuring work during and after loading the track structure;
Repeat inspection of track structure;
Producing report documentation based on test results.
Before testing starts, preparation work is carried out to set up and install measuring equipment on track structure for uninterrupted monitoring of rail temperature. Ballast weight is prepared and the vehicle is loaded.
Instrumental and measuring work is carried out across the entire length of track structure. Results of each measuring are entered into a summary table and further analyzed.
Stress-strain state of track structure is assessed based on results of motion measurements of the rail, beams and mounts on support. When carrying out static tests, the movements of control points on rails and beams are measured.
After completion of all tests, a second visual inspection of track structure is carried out for deviations, deformations and other kinds of damage.
uSky Transport pays special attention to quality of work performed on Test Track 4. Acceptance tests of track structure are an important part of ensuring safety and reliability of all infrastructure and will be performed regularly in accordance with established standards and regulations.
